Louise Shaxson

Louise Shaxson is the Director of the Digital Societies programme at the London-based think tank ODI.  She has over 25 years’ experience in the UK and internationally as a researcher, research manager, policy advisor and management consultant. Her work focuses on evidence-informed policy making: helping people and organizations from outside government to use evidence to influence public policy, while helping those inside government to improve how they use evidence to make decisions. Louise has written extensively on issues to do with research uptake and how evidence is used to inform public policymaking; for seven years she was an Associate Editor at the journal Evidence & Policy. She is currently in the middle of a part-time PhD on implementation science at Kingston University.
